Tonkin Spatial provides comprehensive training in MapInfo Professional and the full range of MapInfo products, technologies and applications. Courses are run in our accredited Training Centre and class sizes are generally limited to a maximum of 8, enabling each student to receive individual attention. All courses have been designed with a hands-on approach, ensuring that trainees spend the majority of the course time using the product.
Level I courses focus on introducing the new user to the product, allowing them to become familiar with the interface, terminology and capabilities. Level II courses move beyond the basics and introduce advanced users to techniques in data analysis and presentation.
We also offer the flexibility of on-site training, where courses are tailored to meet the needs of your organisation. Our training consultants are fully equipped to conduct on-site training courses. This is particularly beneficial where clients are located in a remote region, or have specific training needs.
Recognition of Prior Learning
A partnership between TAFE SA and Tonkin Consulting has led to a unique training and educational pathway for our clients. A variety of options, depending on your personal work and training history, may result in VET accreditation. The benefits include reduced study commitments and overall reduction in the time needed to achieve a tertiary qualification.
Upon satisfactory completion of one or more of these training courses, trainees may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for modules within the Certificate IV in Asset Management (GIS Practices) and/or Certificate II in Spatial Information Services delivered at O’Halloran Hill Campus, TAFE SA.
