MapInfo Professional - Level I
This course defines the concept of a Geographic Information System (GIS) and provides trainees with an understanding of MapInfo functionality that will enable them to create maps and analyse their data in a spatial context. At this level the training combines instructor led and self paced exercises. The topics covered include:
- MapInfo Professional Basics
- Selections and Analysis
- Creating and Manipulating Data
- Data Presentation / Output.
MapInfo Professional Level II –
Geographic Analysis and Presentation
In this course trainees explore techniques that are invaluable for analysis such as Thematic and Bivariate Thematic Mapping and Advanced SQL. Trainees will also learn to create reusable templates for presentations and layouts. The skills and knowledge gained from attendance at the Level I course or from tasks undertaken at work will be further developed and enhanced. The topics covered include:
- Thematic Mapping
- Advanced SQL (Structured Query Language)
- Introduction to MapBasic
- Advanced Layouts (High Quality Output).
MapInfo Professional Level II –
Map Creation and Data Management
This MapInfo Level II user course covers materials that will allow the user greater control of the functionality that lies behind MapInfo. Trainees will learn about the different tools that are available to automatically clean and create tabular and spatial data. This course is targeted at those individuals who are responsible for effectively and efficiently creating, editing and maintaining geographical data. The topics covered include:
- Object Editing and Cleaning
- Advanced Geocoding
- SQL (Structured Query Language)
- Table Maintenance & DBMS
- Introduction to MapBasic and MapBasic Tools
- Advanced Layouts (High Quality Output).
MapInfo Exponare Administrator V2.5
This training course covers the setup and configuration of Exponare.
This two day course is designed to give designated Administrators a working knowledge of the administration and configuration of the system. Attendees must have a good grounding in the basic operation of Exponare. The configuration tool within Exponare provides administrators with complete control over the user interface, functionality, data sets, queries and print templates.
This course is recommended for System Administrators, GIS Officers, or persons assigned to configuring Exponare within your organisation. Attendees should have completed the End User Training program, or have a good operational knowledge of the system.
